Copy of 6 Books That Will Help You Understand Color Theory

Understanding color takes time and exercise. I’m grateful that I had to take a boatload of color theory classes in the two colleges that I attended. While I hated the classes when I had to take them, I am very thankful today for those classes because they gave me a very firm ground to understanding color. I believe we’re all born with a sensitivity to seeing color but it isn’t until we begin working with it that we can really comprehend it and start using it the correct way. Learning the application of color theory is incredibly important for any artist to master.

I scoured the internet for some really good textbooks on the subject. I know this isn’t going to be as exciting as thumbing through the latest edition of Vogue Italia but it is really necessary for you to at least pick one book that appeals to you and read through it.

Understanding color theory and then applying it to your photography can take it to the next level. Trust me, it’ll be money worth spent! Enjoy!
